Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (737)-SHUI LONG WO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Metres
FANTASTICO, which was fractious in the barriers, was slow to begin.BREEDERS' STAR was slow to begin.
From a wide barrier, EVEREST was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Throughout the race, MY BLESSING travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, J Moreira stated that it had been intended for FANTASTICO to be ridden in a forward position.
He said after being slow to begin, the horse was required to travel further back in the field than had been intended.
He said FANTASTICO commenced to steadily improve into the race rounding the Home Turn but after the 200 Metres weakened noticeably.
A veterinary inspection of FANTASTICO immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, FANTASTICO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of BREEDERS' STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MISTER MARC had bled from both nostrils.
FANTASTICO, LYRIC ACE and TRENDIFUL were sent for sampling.

Lyric Ace enjoyed an uncontested lead, cornered near two lengths on top and kept up a strong gallop for a first win at his eighth start this term. Trendiful stayed on well to fill the Quinella spot following a box-seat run. London Master settled fifth along the fence, straightened four deep and was closing the gap late despite a tendency to wander under the whip to pick up a placing. Massive Move was aggressively ridden from a wide gate to land a spot one off in second, straightened three deep and grudgingly gave way over the final 100m in an improved run with a return to blinkers. Forever Accurate made some ground with two wider out after travelling one off the fence in midfield. St Yazin ran on without menacing widest out after settling rearward as expected. Breeders' Star improved late near the inside after settling second from the back following a slow break. Specked late, Mister Marc got over from a wide gate to sit one off in fourth, straightened four deep with every chance and was only plodding over the final 200m. Favourite Fantastico failed to let down with one wider out after travelling one off the fence beyond midfield. He needs a break.
