Recap by phillip woo
Lucky Bubbles settled one off the fence in third behind the Rad and Dundonnell, advanced to the lead 300m out and edged clear for a fifth win from seven starts over this trip. Favourite Amazing Kids travelled a distant fourth, straightened three deep and out-finished Packing Pins for second. Packing Pins was in need of the outing following eye surgery but finished well after straightening five deep following a midfield run. Plunged at odds, Divine Boy out-sprinted Charles The Great for a Quartet spot after making his run second from the rear. Charles The Great was getting going late with one wider out after travelling third from the rear. Frederick Engels only got by beaten rivals after a sluggish break. Dundonnell was under pressure at the top of the straight after stalking the speed and giving ground 250m out. Rad was gassed 200m out after dictating the run.
