Firming late in betting, Racing Supernova was patiently ridden third from the rear near the stands side after copping a slight check leaving the gate, cruised closer mid-race, shifted underneath a runner for a clear run at the 200m and let down willingly to get up 60m out in a splendid debut. He remains one to follow. Favourite Malmsteen settled midfield in the center of the course, advanced to the front 180m out and found one too smart on the day. No Money No Talk travelled fourth from the rear after copping a bump at the start, switched to the center of the course at the 200m and finished well to grab a placing 100m out. He's always capable of a big run over this trip. Wild Boy stayed on a non-threatening fourth following a handy run one off the grandstand side. Bundy Bundy gave way approaching the 100m after leading near the stands side. Happy Meteor yielded ground 200m out after sitting underneath Bundy Bundy. Triumphant Jewel drifted back to near last passing the 800m after jumping alertly and was a non-factor thereafter.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (384)-HIP WO HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Metres

As the start was effected, STRIKING STAR lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently lost ground.

RACING SUPERNOVA began awkwardly and bumped the outside of its gate on jumping.

NO MONEY NO TALK was crowded for room on jumping between TRIUMPHANT JEWEL and DILLY which shifted in.

RACING SUPERNOVA was held up for clear running approaching the 200 Metres.

Near the 150 Metres, BUDDY BUNDY shifted in and bumped WILD BOY.

After the race, R Moore stated that TRIUMPHANT JEWEL did not travel well at any stage of the race and consequently was not able to show the same speed as it had done in its previous races.

A veterinary inspection of TRIUMPHANT JEWEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of TRIUMPHANT JEWEL, which finished second at its last start and which finished at the rear in today's race, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, TRIUMPHANT JEWEL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of CHATER ROCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

RACING SUPERNOVA and MALMSTEEN were sent for sampling.
