Romantic Touch enjoyed an easy time on the lead from a tricky gate, cornered near two lengths on top and kept up a strong gallop for the win with a drop in grade on a leader's course. Early favourite Anticipation settled one off in second, cornered four deep and kept on well without menacing the winner. Selkirk Star made a steady bid three deep after a rail's run in midfield to grab a placing. Supreme Profit stayed on reasonably well after a deep run without cover fore of midfield. He's not far off a winning run. Late-fancied favourite Savvy Nature made some ground without menacing after a rail's run behind midfield as the late-fancied favourite. Ensuring was doing his best work late down the outside after travelling second from the rear. Premium Champion made only a mild bid with two wider out after settling third from the rear. Plunged late, Golden Sleep never lifted following a one-off run travelling fore of midfield. He's looking for a drop in grade.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (191)-FAN LAU HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1800Metres

REGENCY KING began awkwardly and then in the early stages got its head up when travelling keenly.

ENSURING shifted in at the start and bumped PREMIUM CHAMPION.

After the 1400 Metres, GOLDEN SLEEP got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle and awkwardly placed close to the heels of ANTICIPATION.

In this incident, GOLDEN SLEEP shifted out and bumped SUPREME PROFIT.

At the entrance to the Straight, PREMIUM CHAMPION and REGENCY KING raced tight.

Passing the 300 Metres, SELKIRK STAR got its head on the side and shifted out away from SAME WORLD, resulting in SELKIRK STAR being awkwardly placed inside the heels of ANTICIPATION.

Throughout the race, SUPREME PROFIT travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, B Prebble (PREMIUM CHAMPION) stated that the manner in which the race was run by developing into a sprint home did not suit his horse.

A veterinary inspection of PREMIUM CHAMPION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SAVVY NATURE, ROMANTIC TOUCH and ANTICIPATION were sent for sampling.
