Recap by phillip woo

Odds-on favourite Sure Peace was shuffled back to travel one off the fence beyond midfield 800m out, straightened five deep and let down willingly to get up 100m out for the win. He's well suited to the surface and is equally dangerous over the 1,800m. Elegance Klammer was given every chance fourth along the fence, barged out for a clear run three deep at the 200m and finished well to wear down Addole for second. Addole tracked the leader Jolly Good Star without cover from a tricky gate, assumed the lead 200m out and found a couple too smart in the end. Noble De Man settled fourth from the rear three wide with cover, swung the final bend with one wider and finished nicely to grab a Quartet spot with a drop in grade. Spinning Dancer made a good deal of ground widest out after travelling settled second from the rear following a sluggish break. Kitaya travelled fore of midfield with cover three deep, cornered three from the right and kept on one-paced over the final 150m. Unique Happiest was posted three deep without cover in third, rounded the final bend four deep and was only plodding over the final 200m. Grand Plus failed to find another gear following a handy run with cover.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (042)-RESIDENTS' SERVICE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Metres

As the start was effected, SPINNING DANCER lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently was slow to begin.

From the outside barrier, GOOD FIT was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After initially being ridden along from a wide barrier, KERKENI was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position close to the rail.

Passing the 1300 Metres, SPINNING DANCER got its head up when being checked away from the heels of SURE PEACE which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GRAND PLUS.

Passing the 1200 Metres, HOXO commenced to travel strongly and shifted out, resulting in the horse being awkwardly placed inside SURE PEACE.

After the 1000 Metres, HOXO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ELEGANCE KLAMMER.

Passing the 800 Metres, SPINNING DANCER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBLE DE MAN.

Passing the 200 Metres, ELEGANCE KLAMMER shifted out to obtain clear running and bumped GRAND PLUS.

Throughout the race, UNIQUE HAPPIEST travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of GRAND PLUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

SURE PEACE and ELEGANCE KLAMMER were sent for sampling.
