Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (040)-EMPLOYEES' SERVICE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Metres
CROATIA began awkwardly.MY CUP OVERFLOWS shifted out at the start and bumped CRUISE CONTROL.
From wide barriers, ZERO ENERGY ACT, HEAR THE ROAR, ALL PALS and STRIKE EAGLE were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 900 Metres, MIGHTY WONGCHOY commenced to travel strongly and was checked away from the heels of CRUISE CONTROL and in doing so shifted in, resulting in CROATIA being momentarily crowded for room.
ALL PALS and ZERO ENERGY ACT, which were following, were inconvenienced in consequence.
For the majority of the race, MIZZEN GREY travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned, D Whyte (MY CUP OVERFLOWS) stated that in the early stages he was able to obtain a trailing position after allowing PARENTAL SPIRIT to cross MY CUP OVERFLOWS passing the 1400 Metres.
He said MY CUP OVERFLOWS then continued to travel satisfactorily until passing the 1300 Metres at which time the horse immediately commenced to hang out.
He said despite applying considerable pressure to his right rein, MY CUP OVERFLOWS continued to hang out and after entering the Back Straight commenced to hang out more severely and started to shift to the outside rail despite his efforts.
He said because of the manner in which MY CUP OVERFLOWS was hanging out, he was obliged to retire the horse out of the race.
A veterinary inspection of MY CUP OVERFLOWS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The racing manners of MY CUP OVERFLOWS were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MY CUP OVERFLOWS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend.
A veterinary inspection of STRIKE EAGLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of STRIKE EAGLE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, STRIKE EAGLE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CRIMSON HEART immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, CRIMSON HEART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
DRAGON BACHELOR and CRUISE CONTROL were sent for sampling.

Dragon Bachelor settled third and one off the rails, rallied near four deep upon straightening and quickened nicely to overhaul leader Lucky Bole 160m out for an easy win to continue his fine form from late-last season. Late-fancied favourite Cruise Control settled one off the fence in fifth, straightened five deep and finished well to run down Lucky Bole 60m out for second. Early favourite Lucky Bole had to work a bit from a tricky gate to lead on the fence 1,100m out, straightened two lengths on top and was tippy-toeing over the last 100m. Mighty Wongchoy ran on reasonably well four deep following a one-off run worse than midfield to get into a Quartet spot 200m out in a pleasing first go on this surface. Zero Energy Act made good ground with one wider out after travelling third from the rear. Heartily Wins was only plodding with two wider out upon straightening after a deep run from beyond midfield. Mizzen Grey made only a mild bid without ever looking a chance.
