Racing Incident Report
Race One: (029)-CHEUNG HONG HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Metres
DELIGHT FORTUNE began very awkwardly.From wide barriers, AZTEC EMPIRE and INTELLECTUAL GLIDE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After being ridden along for a short distance, GRASSLAND DRAGON was steadied approaching the 1100 Metres and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Approaching the 400 Metres, NOVEL START raced tight between MIGHTY GAINS and GENUINE CHAMPION.
Passing the 100 Metres, GRASSLAND DRAGON momentarily raced tight inside NATURAL EIGHT.
Passing the 50 Metres, NATURAL EIGHT shifted out, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten.
Throughout the race, MIGHTY GAINS travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of MASTER VIKING, ENJOY THE FUN and ORIENTAL FANTASIA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ORIENTAL FANTASIA, NOVEL START and GRASSLAND DRAGON were sent for sampling.

Novel Start was ridden one off the fence worse than midfield, swung the final bend with three wider out and finished willingly to get up in the final few metres. Grassland Dragon finished soundly four deep in the straight run to grab a Quinella spot in the final few strides at a price despite straightening second from the rear. He's produced two pleasing runs this term and will soon be winning at this level. Rank outsider Intellectual Glide travelled third from the rear, peeled into the open with one wider out and finished willingly to snatch third from Delight Fortune in an improved performance after a stable change. Delight Fortune was swamped late after hitting the front 200m out following a box-seat run. Late-fancied favourite Oriental Fantasia rushed forward along the fence to lead 900m out, cornered one off the fence a half-length on top and was stopping 50m out. Early favourite Natural Eight was only grinding away without looking a menace following a one-out, one-back run. Master Viking sat one off outside the leader after handing up the lead, straightened four deep and was only plodding under the whip in a disappointing effort despite a drop in grade. Genuine Champion was only one-paced following a midfield run. He's better over a longer trip.
