Recap by phillip woo

Perpetual Pleasure was given a lovely ride to land a spot third along the rails from a tricky gate, peeled three deep upon straightening, worked to the front 130m out and held off the late surge of Ultimate Glory for a second straight win on this surface. Ultimate Glory closed nicely four deep after a one-off run behind midfield to make it close on the wire. Rumba King set a steady pace, cornered two lengths on top and held on gamely for a placing. Turin Pearl kept on reasonably well to hold a Quartet spot after rolling forward from a wide gate to eventually land a spot one off the fence behind the leader. Super Man made some ground two from the right after travelling third from the rear. Surprise early favourite Lucky Scepter came on widest out without menacing after travelling second from the rear. He's better on the turf and needs a longer trip. Go Go Win ran on three deep without menacing after saving ground behind midfield after a sluggish break. Firming favourite Happy Journey never let down after fanning into the clear three from the right following a one off run fourth from the rear.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (025)-SHENZHEN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres

GO GO WIN and BOSSIEE were slow to begin.

SUPER MAN began awkwardly.

TURIN PEARL was crowded for room on jumping between FOREVER RED and REAL FIT which shifted in.

HAPPY JOURNEY shifted out at the start and bumped RUMBA KING.

After the 1000 Metres, SUPER MAN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ULTIMATE GLORY.

When being steadied to obtain cover, FOREVER RED proved difficult to settle for some distance after the 1000 Metres.

After the 800 Metres, SUPER MAN proved difficult to settle, got its head up and then shifted out making the turn near the 700 Metres.

At the 400 Metres, HAPPY JOURNEY was steadied when unable to improve between REAL FIT and SUPER MAN where there was insufficient room.

HAPPY JOURNEY was then held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.

For the majority of the race, REAL FIT travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

FOREVER RED lost its left front plate during the running of the race.

A veterinary inspection of GREAT SKY, HAPPY JOURNEY and REAL FIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HAPPY JOURNEY, PERPETUAL TREASURE and ULTIMATE GLORY were sent for sampling.
