I'm In Charge let down willingly after extricating himself out of track five deep in midfield at the 300m to get up 120m out to continue his sensational run of form over the 1,200m. Exciting Dream settled second from the rear along the rails after copping a squeeze at the break, switched sharply off heels with one wider out for a clear run at the 300m and closed off nicely to grab second 20m out. High Five travelled fore of midfield without cover three deep, inched closer coming to the final bend, worked to the front 180m out and found a couple too smart in the end. Tour De Force came with a nice run after travelling third from the rear to secure a Quartet spot. Plunged late, Key Witness made some ground widest out from the rear without menacing on a place line. Access Years weakened after pressing forward out wide at the 850m to sit outside the leader Domineer. Early favourite Beauty Flame came up flat following a one-off run in midfield. Late-fancied favourite Teofilo Calva had his chances but failed to respond when asked for an effort. Domineer couldn't go on with it over the final 150m. Lucky Nine covered ground beyond midfield after a troubled break and never let down in the drive to the wire.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (003)-THE HKSAR CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 1 - 1200Metres

EXCITING DREAM and LUCKY NINE were crowded for room on jumping between BEAUTY FLAME and KEY WITNESS which began awkwardly and shifted in.

After this, LUCKY NINE was ridden along, however, failed to muster speed.

DOMINEER began only fairly.

Approaching the 600 Metres, LUCKY NINE was left racing wide and without cover.

Passing the 600 Metres, TEOFILO CALVA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ACCESS YEARS.

TOUR DE FORCE was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.

Throughout the race, HIGH FIVE travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY FLAME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of TEOFILO CALVA immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.

Before being allowed to race again, TEOFILO CALVA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
