Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (665)-MOUNT GOUGH HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Metres
THE PALADIN was slow to begin.THUNDER DASH began awkwardly and lost ground.
INCREDIBLE ACT began only fairly.
GLORY HORSIE shifted out at the start and inconvenienced PERI PERI SAFFRON.
Shortly after the start, SING SING SING raced tight between WHISTLE BLOWER and CHOICE EXCHEQUER which shifted in.
Near the 850 Metres, SING SING SING lost its left front plate.
Near the 750 Metres, WHISTLE BLOWER and GLORY HORSIE bumped.
Approaching the 700 Metres, when being steadied to obtain a position with cover behind WHISTLE BLOWER, SING SING SING was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse which was being steadied to allow CALL ME ACHIEVER to cross.
After the 700 Metres, THUNDER DASH was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 600 Metres, CHOICE EXCHEQUER was awkwardly placed behind THUNDER DASH.
Passing the winning post, OCEAN ROAR jumped a shadow.
A veterinary inspection of THUNDER DASH and SING SING SING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CHIN CHUN and CALL ME ACHIEVER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Chin Chun settled three back along the rails, angled into the open four deep at the 400m and finished well to run down Call Me Achiever for a maiden win at his sixth start. Call Me Achiever showed good speed to cross for the lead from gate nine with Ocean Roar eye-balling him on his outside, cornered a half-length on top and found one better in the end. Glory Horsie wore down Ocean Roar for third three deep in the dash to the wire following a box-seat run. Ocean Roar grudgingly gave way after pressing the pace without cover from a wide gate. Highland Dragon got going with one wider out to finish a distant fifth. Whistle Blower was only holding his ground over the final 150m following one-off run in fourth. Peri Peri Saffron made only a mild bid near the inside after settling worse than midfield along the rails. Thunder Dash stayed on as he passed beaten rivals widest out. Sing Sing Sing never ran on.
