Raging favourite Thewizardofoz settled midfield along the rails, pulled out five deep upon straightening and quickened nicely to win going away 150m out in good time to remain unbeaten in two outings. He's the real deal and has more to come. Blizzard travelled three deep with cover behind midfield outside Flying Moochi from a wide gate, was forced four deep without cover at the 600m, cornered with two wider out and really let down well over the final 150m to easily get up 30m out for second. He's a nice one himself and may be looking for 1,400m now. Righteous was pestered on the lead by Multimax to his outside, cornered narrowly on top and kept plugging away to just edge that one for a placing. Multimax kept up a good gallop after punching the breeze from a tricky gate. Flying Moochi travelled worse than midfield and one off the rails, rounded the final bend with three wider out and stayed on reasonably well to just finish out of the placings.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (660)-PRECISION HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres

SGT ROCK began only fairly.

LIUZHOU WARRIOR began awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of FLYING MOOCHI.

From a wide barrier, DA VINCI was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

When being steadied to obtain cover, BLIZZARD got its head up on a number of occasions passing the 1100 Metres.

For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, SGT ROCK was checked away from the heels of FLYING MOOCHI when proving very difficult to settle.

Then making the first turn, SGT ROCK got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of BLIZZARD.

Near the 400 Metres, TRAVEL NUMBER ONE was momentarily steadied away from the heels of HAPPY METEOR which shifted out into clear running.

FLYING MOOCHI lost its right hind plate at the 250 Metres.

For the majority of the race, OVETT travelled wide and without cover.

The performance of SGT ROCK, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SGT ROCK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

THEWIZARDOFOZ and BLIZZARD were sent for sampling.
