Firming favourite Goodheart Success settled fourth along the rails, angled out coming to the final bend and finished nicely four deep to grab an overdue win 50m out after placing in four of seven previous runs. Supreme Flight led from a tricky gate, cornered a length on top and kept up a good gallop to clearly hold second at long odds. Little Dragon made his run one off the fence in fifth, rounded the final bend six deep and was plugging away to just get up for a placing. Willie Invictus made his run outside Little Dragon, swung the final bend with two wider out and ran on steadily to grab a Quartet spot. Sugar City made some ground late near the inside after saving ground second from the rear. Win It was posted three deep without cover near the speed, straightened four from the right and kept on one-paced over the final 150m. Happy Rocky made some ground without menacing widest out after a deep run with cover behind midfield. Golden Addiction settled at the tail of the field after a sluggish break, rallied four deep upon straightening and clawed back some ground late. Bespoke Collars never responded when asked for an effort in the drive following a rail's run worse than midfield.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (633)-ARC DE TRIOMPHE CHAMPIONSHIPS HANDICAP (Sec1) - Class 3 - 1650Metres

GOLDEN ADDICTION began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was shifted across behind runners.

From a wide barrier, DANEWIN EXPRESS was shifted across behind runners in the early stages, however, subsequently travelled wide and without cover when proving difficult to settle.

At the entrance to the Straight, DANEWIN EXPRESS raced in restricted room between HAPPY ROCKY and WILLIE INVICTUS which was taken out by WIN IT.

Approaching the 400 Metres, HAR HAR CHARMING, which was commencing to give ground, was crowded for room between WIN IT which got its head on the side and lay in and LITTLE DRAGON which shifted out when attempting to improve to the outside of GOODHEART SUCCESS which was shifting to the outside of SUPREME FLIGHT.

In the circumstances, no further action was taken.

After this HAR HAR CHARMING continued to give ground and finished tailed out.

A veterinary inspection of HAR HAR CHARMING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of HAR HAR CHARMING was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, HAR HAR CHARMING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Near the 250 Metres, LITTLE DRAGON shifted out and bumped WIN IT.

Near the 150 Metres, C Y Ho (WIN IT) dropped his whip.

Throughout the race, WIN IT travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of BESPOKE COLLARS immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, BESPOKE COLLARS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

GOODHEART SUCCESS and SUPREME FLIGHT were sent for sampling.

The following horse was replated in the saddling stalls: Race 6: BRIGHT STAR (right hind)

After the running of Race 3, the track classification was officially changed from "Good to Yielding" to "Yielding".

This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 3 being run on a track rated "Yielding".
