Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (536)-LI YUEN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 2200Metres
GLAMOROUS RYDER was withdrawn on 14.4.15 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter CROATIA (K C Leung).Before being allowed to race again, GLAMOROUS RYDER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SURE CHAMP lifted its front feet off the ground on jumping, began awkwardly and consequently lost ground.
HIGH SPEED METRO lost ground when being steadied from the barriers to shift across to a position closer to the rail at the rear of the field.
Shortly after the start, ENJOY THE GAME momentarily raced tight between KING HARADASUN and EVERYONE'S FORTUNE which was taken in by ALL MY BENEFIT.
From the outside barrier, CROATIA was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1900 Metres, WIN CHANCE got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ALL MY BENEFIT.
EVERYONE'S FORTUNE travelled wide and without cover until near the 1300 Metres at which time ENJOY THE GAME was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, WIN CHANCE shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of SURE CHAMP.
Passing the 900 Metres, WIN CHANCE was taken into a position wide and without cover by ALL MY BENEFIT which shifted out to follow ENJOY THE GAME.
Passing the 600 Metres, ENJOY THE GAME and WIN CHANCE bumped.
Passing the 500 Metres, SUPER STRIKE was checked away from the heels of EVERYONE'S FORTUNE which was giving ground.
In this incident, SUPER STRIKE shifted in slightly, resulting in SMART GUY being momentarily crowded for room.
Approaching the 400 Metres, CROATIA was bumped and taken wider by HIGH SPEED METRO which shifted out away from the heels of SUPER STRIKE which shifted out from behind EVERYONE'S FORTUNE which was continuing to give ground.
In the Straight, HIGH SPEED METRO got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
The performance of EVERYONE'S FORTUNE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE'S FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SUPER STRIKE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HIGH SPEED METRO and WIN CHANCE were sent for sampling.

High Speed Metro settled at the tail following a slow break, swung the final bend widest out and closed furiously to nail favourite Win Chance 30m out for a maiden win at his 21st start. Win Chance settled midfield and one off the rails, made his move 750m out to eventually lead 450m out, cornered a length on top and found one better in the end. Sure Champ settle three back along the fence, straightened three deep, worked to second at the 100m and had to settle for third in the end. Mobile King kept plugging away four deep to fill a Quartet spot following a box-seat run. King Haradasun settled third from the rear, took closer order in midfield at the 700m and ran on steadily without menacing with two wider out in the stretch drive. Smart Guy travelled fourth from the rear and made a mild bid near the inside. Enjoy The Game was hard ridden after a sluggish break from a tricky gate to hold a position beyond midfield and deep with cover, rounded the final bend six deep and kept grinding away without threatening. Super Strike settled one off the fence behind midfield, was shuffled back to have only one beaten coming to the final bend and only stayed on passed beaten rivals with three wider out.
