Early favourite Let Me Go settled worse than midfield on the rails, rounded the final bend five deep and let down well to swallow up Eroico in the final 20m for a second victory this campaign. Eroico eventually dropped in for cover in a one-out, one-back position at the 800m, pulled out four deep upon straightening, advanced to the front 300m out and found one too good in the end. Late-fancied favourite Travel First was prominent along the fence, straightened three deep and kept on well to make it a popular tierce result. Selkirk Star was ridden for luck deep at the back, swung the final bend widest out and was doing some nice work late. Marvel Tribe held a position behind midfield and one off the rails, drifted back to last in a five deep position rounding the final bend, ducked underneath runners for a clear run at the 250m and closed off reasonably well thereafter. Jazzy Feeling rounded the final bend five from the right and only held his ground over the final 200m. Speedygonzalezwas stopping 200m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (468)-VIVA PATACA HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Metres

FANTASTIC KAKA was withdrawn on 14.3.15 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).

Before being allowed to race again, FANTASTIC KAKA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

JAZZY FEELING began only fairly.

APACHE SPIRIT began awkwardly and lost ground.

MY NAME IS BOND was crowded for room on jumping between EROICO and MR GENUINE which shifted out.

After this, MY NAME IS BOND was shifted across behind runners.

KIRAM was also taken back in the early stages.

Near the 1100 Metres, TRAVEL FIRST and MR GENUINE raced tight.

Passing the 700 Metres, JAZZY FEELING commenced to prove difficult to settle and shifted out away from the heels of MR GENUINE after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.

MARVEL TRIBE had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

APACHE SPIRIT was unable to obtain clear running until passing the 300 Metres.

Approaching the 250 Metres, FORMULA WON was checked when crowded for room between JAZZY FEELING and MY NAME IS BOND (O Doleuze) which got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly.

As the Stewards were satisfied that O Doleuze had reacted as quickly as possible to MY NAME IS BOND's sudden shift, no further action was taken.

After this, MY NAME IS BOND continued to lay in under pressure and proved difficult to ride.

Over the concluding stages, TRAVEL FIRST raced tight inside LET ME GO (T Berry) which shifted in.

T Berry was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount.

A veterinary inspection of MR GENUINE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

LET ME GO and EROICO were sent for sampling.

Adjourned Inquiries - 11 March 2015 Happy Valley Racemeeting- Race 9 (458) Apprentice C Y Lui (HARBOUR PUNK) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that at the 900 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of PRECISION KONG, causing that horse to be hampered and to lose ground.

Apprentice Lui was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 16 April 2015 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays).

The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 1 April 2015.

Apprentice Lui also pleaded guilty to a further charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after passing the 200 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of SMART MAN, causing that horse to be taken out across the rightful running of PRECISION KING which was hampered and lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled and further that near the 100 Metres he permitted his mount to continue to shift out across the rightful running of SMART MAN, causing that horse to also be hampered.

Apprentice Lui was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday, 20 April 2015 on which day he may resume race riding (4 Hong Kong racedays).

The commencement of the suspension was also deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 1 April 2015.

The Stewards ruled that both terms of suspension be served concurrently.

11 March 2015 Happy Valley Racemeeting - Race 9 (458) Near the 150 Metres, the whip of D Whyte (ALL GREAT FRIENDS) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of N Callan (SMART MAN).

When questioned regarding the performance of PRECISION KING, B Prebble stated that the horse had risen steadily in ratings without having been successful.

He said accordingly, in his opinion, PRECISION KING needs to have a race run to suit to be able to perform well.

He said in this race PRECISION KING was left racing wide after being hampered near the 900 Metres.

He said for this reason he had to ride his mount along after the 800 Metres to improve around BULLISH FRIEND to obtain a position one horse off the rail.

He said because of the amount of work that PRECISION KING had to do in the early and middle stages, the horse was then not able to close off the race.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 11 March 2015 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of SWEET BEAN, ELECTRONIC GOSPEL, TIMELY ARRIVED, HIGHLAND DRAGON, DO YOU GET IT, MR VANILLA, GOLD TALENT, SPEEDY LONGWAH, CHOICE TREASURE, TRENDY WIN, GENUINE CHAMPION, MULTIEXPRESS, TOMODACHI, STAR MAJESTIC, TURBO JEWELLERY, DILLY, TRIUMPHANT JEWEL, LET ME DO, SUPREME FLIGHT, GENEROUS BOBO, PABLOSKY, HAPPY YEAH YEAH and DISCIPLES TWELVE revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of ALWAYS WONDERFUL, TRENDIFUL, JOYEUX, SPITFIRE, AMAZING GIFT, LIGHTNING AND GOLD, WINNING KING, YO-YO DA, TRIUMPHANT DRAGON, FLYING CHAPARRAL, SAFARI MAGIC, GRAND HARBOUR, ROBUST MOMENTUM, GOLD TALENT, SECRET COMMAND, CLEVER BEAVER, GENTILIS, ENSURING, WRATH OF FIRE, ISHVARA and EXECUTIVE MANDATE (4.3.15) proved negative.
