Recap by phillip woo
Odds-on favourite Peniaphobia (Douglas Whyte, pictured) travelled without cover from the outset in third after jumping from the dreaded one alley, engaged Bundle Of Joy at the 200m and wore that one down 50m out for the win. Bundle Of Joy was up vying for the lead to the outside of Amber Sky, assumed the front 300m out and went down fighting. Smart Volatility stayed on well following a prominent run one off the stands side but keeps finding one or a few too good at this level. Frederick Engels ran on reasonably well one from the far side after travelling second from the rear to complete a short-priced Quartet. Sterling City was handy along the outside fence and just held his ground when popped the question. You Read My Mind made his run without cover on the far side third from the rear and kept on all right despite a significant jump in class. Eagle Regiment never made an impact from the back. Amber Sky stopped badly soon after losing the lead.
