Recap by phillip woo
Plunged late, Why Why rolled forward from a wide gate to settle one off in second outside Gentilis, hit the front 300m out and kept on gamely for a second straight win despite a step up in class. Firming favourite, Super Talent travelled at the rear, shifted widest out at the 320m and finished willingly to grab second close to home. Our Folks enjoyed a lovely run on the back of the speed, moved to second 150m out and had to settle a position further back in the end. He can get away with a race at this level. King Of Mongolia kept on reasonably well after travelling without cover in a handy spot from the widest gate in his debut and looks a nice newcomer for the stable. Lucky Day ran on steadily three deep after travelling one off the rails in midfield to just miss a Quartet spot. Smart Declaration kept plugging away near the inside following a three back run along the rails. Shining Champion made some ground without menacing three from the right after straightening following a one-off run from behind midfield. Lansbury got going with one wider out after travelling third from the rear.
