Recap by phillip woo
Dundonnell settled fourth and one off the rails following a tardy break, cornered two from the right and finished willingly to take control 150m out for an overdue win following multiple placings after a stable change. Winning Leader travelled in the box-seat, shifted into the clear with two wider out at the 150m and just out-finished Rewarding Hero to inject value into the Quinella 30m out. Rewarding Hero settled last in the small field, angled his way into the open with one wider at the 350m and was running on reasonably well carrying top weight. Wonderful Moments settle one off in second after jumping alertly, worked to the front 220m out and condition gave way 100m out in his season debut. He'll come on for the run. Favourite Beauty Flame was pulling on the lead, cornered narrowly on top and was yielding ground 150m out. Packing Whiz never got going from the back in another disappointing performance.
