Race Eight: (220)-THE CHINESE GENERAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Metres
TRUE COMMENT was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of EASTERN DRAGON which shifted in.Approaching the 100 Metres, K Teetan (ABLE WARRIOR) became unbalanced.
ABLE WARRIOR and HIDDEN VALUE were sent for sampling.

Equal favourite Able Warrior settled on the back of the speed one off the rails, swept to the front three deep at the 200m and kept on gamely to just hold the late-plunged Hidden Value for back-to-back wins despite his rider losing his balance approaching the 100m. Hidden Value settled effectively one-out, one-back, rounded the final bend five deep and ran on well to finish a clear-cut second. Firming late in the market, Hearts Keeper rolled forward from a wide gate to stalk the leader Ambitious King, went to second 200m out and found a couple too smart in the end. Geronimo Meadow came with a good move with one wider out to grab fourth from newcomer Collator, who plugged on all right following a handy run along the rails and should be a better prospect on the turf. Ambitious King was again disappointing after enjoying an uncontested lead. King Derby failed to make an impact from behind midfield along the rails.
