Recap by phillip woo
All You Wish came from last down the outside to grab victory in the final few metres for an upset win. Khaya travelled one off in second behind Enthusiasm, advanced to a narrow lead at the 350m, was headed by raging favourite Divine Calling 100m out and fought back in the shadows of the post to make it a rich Quinella result. Divine Calling pulled off heels four deep at the 350m in midfield, advanced to a narrow lead at the 100m and came up flat soon after. Kabayan settled third from the rear, swung the final bend one from the right and finished up reasonably well without menacing the placegetters. Specked late, Enthusiasm led from the widest gate, cornered a half-length on top and grudgingly gave way when headed. Ashkiyr straightened one off after travelling third from the rear and made a mild bid without menacing. Plunged in betting, Flame Hero kept up an even gallop after travelling without cover in midfield. Pleasure Gains eventually settled one off in fourth after pulling early on, swung the final bend with three wider out and was gone 200m out.
