Favourite What Your Dream settled second from the rear and three or four deep with cover, pushed into the clear with one wider out upon straightening, balanced up after drifting under pressure with one wider out at the 350m and finished willingly to take control 150m out with a step up over his preferred mile distance. Good Good View was strung up in traffic and copped a check 350m out following a midfield run near the rails before finishing strongly after pulling off the heels of Mighty K at the 150m to grab Club Life in the final few metres for second. The runner-up's ready to win. Club Life recovered after jumping awkwardly to settle three deep in midfield, made his move 700m out, hit the front four deep at the 250m and just held on late for a placing. Keen Tactics settled fourth from the rear down on the fence, pushed widest out at the 300m and got going late to inject value into the First-4. Mighty K was checked at the 350m before plugging on without menacing over the final 100m.

D'OR WONGCHOY began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, TURBO JEWELLERY was steadied away from the heels of MIGHTY K which shifted in.

CLUB LIFE got its head up on jumping and then, despite being ridden along in the early stages, was slow to muster speed.

D Whyte (BULLISH SMART) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 1300 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of FORGIVE AND FORGET, causing that horse to be checked and in turn shift in onto GRACEFUL KINGDOM which was hampered.

D Whyte was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday, 10 November 2014 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays).

The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 26 October 2014.

After the 1000 Metres, KIROV and SHINY DAY were left racing wide and without cover.

GOOD GOOD VIEW had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

Taking into consideration the circumstances of this matter and the nature of the interference suffered by GRACEFUL KINGDOM and GOOD GOOD VIEW, the Stewards believed the appropriate penalty was for N Rawiller to be suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday, 10 November 2014 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays).

FORGIVE AND FORGET was unable to obtain clear running until passing the 200 Metres.

The performance of SHINY DAY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SHINY DAY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of KIROV and D'OR WONGCHOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

WHAT YOU DREAM and GOOD GOOD VIEW were sent for sampling.
