Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (066)-FESTIVITY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Metres
FLYING UNICORN was withdrawn on 3.10.14 by order of the Stewards (stable transfer).BEAUTY ONLY began awkwardly.
CIRCUIT STAR began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was taken across behind runners.
Shortly after the start, BEST SHOW and DANEWIN EXPRESS bumped.
Also shortly after the start, SPARKLING B, which was being steadied in order to be shifted across behind runners, was steadied away from the heels of HEAVENISARACEHORSE which shifted out after being bumped by ARCHIPPUS.
SPARKLING B was shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.
From the outside barrier, AMBER DRAGON was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 800 Metres, DANEWIN EXPRESS and PRESIDENT LINCOLN raced tight inside MALAYAN PEARL before MALAYAN PEARL was shifted out to relieve the tightening to these runners.
ARCHIPPUS had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
After the race, A Suborics reported that SPARKLING B did not stretch out in the Home Straight.
The performance of SPARKLING B, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SPARKLING B will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of PRESIDENT LINCOLN immediately following the race confirmed the horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of CHANCELLOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FASTER MORE, BEAUTY ONLY and DANEWIN EXPRESS were sent for sampling.

Addition to Racing Incidents Report of 1 October 2014 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 10 (56) M Chadwick (HELENE SUPER STAR) dropped his whip approaching the 100 Metres.

Races 7 - 10 were each put back 5 minutes.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 1 October 2014 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of INCREDIBLE FELLOW, ELEGANT FRAMES, D'OR WONGCHOY, DEMOKLES, STREET CAT, WRATH OF FIRE, REDWOOD BABY, PLAIN BLUE BANNER, EVERYONE'S CHOICE, HOW SPEEDY, LUCKY DAY, HIT A HOME RUN, WIN IT, BUNDLE OF JOY, PENIAPHOBIA, GOLDEN DEER, CLEVER BEAVER, DA VINCI, BRILLIANT SHINE, MARVEL TRIBE, KHAYA and HELENE SUPER STAR revealed no apparent abnormality.

Newcomer Beauty Only settled behind midfield and two off the rails with cover after a sluggish break, swung the final bend with one wider out and responded nicely when popped the question to win going away at the 200m. He looks a top flight performer in the making and remains one to follow. Danewin Express was handy in the run one off the rails in fifth, pushed four deep approaching the 400m, moved to second at the 200m and plugged on nicely to just hold favourite Faster More by a bob of heads. Firming favourite, Faster More was caught three deep without cover fore of midfield, turned the final bend with two wider out and ran on steadily. Amber Dragon was ridden quietly third from the rear from the widest gate, pulled deepest out upon straightening and was getting going late to get up 100m out for a First-4 spot. Industrialist Way was up vying for the lead three deep before settling one off in second behind Chancellor, straightened three deep and was yielding ground passing the 150m. Archippus settled behind midfield and one off the rails, was caught in a bit of traffic four-to-five deep upon straightening and only made a minor bid with clear running over the final 200m.
