Recap by phillip woo
Firming late, Rumba King was handy without cover in the run, cornered five deep, hit the front 250m out and kept on willingly for an easy win over his preferred trip. Late-fancied favourite Winning Instinct settled third from the rear and one off the rails, swung the final bend with one wider out and finished strongly to grab second close to home. Great Sky settled behind midfield and one off the rails, rounded the final bend with two wider out, briefly hit second passing the 50m and just shrugged off Cheetah Boy for a placing. Cheetah Boy travelled fourth and one off the rails, had three further out upon straightening and stayed on reasonably well to just miss a placing. En Civil kept on evenly following a box-seat run. Sight Believer made his run three back along the rails, cornered four deep and failed to find when popped the question. Early favourite Caga Force assumed the lead from You Are The One at the 1,050m, cornered a whisker on top and was stopping badly at the 200m in his initial run with blinkers for his new trainer.
