Paris Olympics day 10: Duplantis world record and China athletics silver – as it happened
- Viktor Axelsen claims badminton gold, Zou Jingyuan triumphs for China in men’s parallel bars and Hong Kong’s team table tennis hopes end
At some point we’ll stop writing about China winning diving gold, but with several events to go, including the women’s 10m platform today, we were not ready to yet.
Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi were among the athletes back in action in Paris, with the preliminary rounds and semi-finals taking place.
Before that, He Bingjiao tried to ride her luck to Olympic gold in the badminton women’s singles. The Chinese player was being well beaten by Carolina Marin in the semi-finals, before a potential career-ending knee injury ended the contest.
South Korea’s An Se-young awaited in the final, and there was plenty happening in the Stade de France on another big day of track and field events.
Stay with us as we follow all the action live in Paris.
