Here are some of the Olympians who could be set to make waves in Paris both in the sporting arena and online.

Alexis Jandard (diving)

Jandard went viral in April when he fell off the diving board in front of French President Emmanuel Macron during an Olympic pool inauguration.

He won medals at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships and also competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

But preparing to dive off the three-metre springboard alongside two other divers, the 27-year-old slipped, lost his balance, landed on his back and bounced off the board, while the divers next to him performed their twisting dives neatly.
