CrossFit has experienced a year like no other. Along with contending with Covid-19 and having to rapidly come up with inventive ways to host the CrossFit Games, the company was put through the ringer by a scandal sparked by a tweet.

The CrossFit Games was split into two legs. The first one saw 30 men and 30 women compete from around the world in an online competition, with the top five heading to California for the finals. The 30 athletes were selected from the top 20 in The Open and 10 from the Sanctionals.
