Now back on home soil in the United States, Gu posted a short video on Instagram showing she still has the skills to impress her millions of new fans.

“fallin in love all over again,” the Olympic star posted.

After her historic two golds and one silver at Beijing 2022, California-born Gu has been on a whirlwind global tour, gracing catwalks, giving talks and appearing at the Miami Grand Prix earlier this month.

For now, there’s no indication Gu will return to competition and instead plans to attend Stanford University. Talks of a book deal and extending her fashion career have also been floated.

“I do know that I’m going to go to Stanford. I do know that I still love skiing and I know that I want to continue my work in the fashion industry and I want to continue being a nerd and I want to keep writing and I want to get some of my writing published,” she said earlier this year.
