Hongkongers can get their first taste of SPOTV’s coverage with the Moto GP this weekend, with the Red Bull GP of the Americas from October 1-3. The main race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, will be live from 3am (Hong Kong time) on Monday, October 4.

That is being shown on SPOTV’s YouTube channel, with the promise of more Moto GP and other events to come in the future, including Wimbledon and the US Open.

“We have acquired rights for MotoGP and WorldSBK motorsport championships, tennis grand slams: Wimbledon and the US Open, and popular K-wave sports with Korean Baseball League (KBO), Korean Basketball League (KBL) and the Korean V-League volleyball competition with more events to come,” said a spokesperson from Eclat Media Group, the owners of SPOTV.

While Moto GP rights are secured for the remaining three races this year – the Italian GP later this month and those in Portugal and Spain next month – the platform for these is yet to be finalised, the spokesperson said.
