Conor McGregor has been accused of racism over an Instragam post mocking the announcement of Floyd Mayweather Jnr’s fight against Japanese kick-boxer Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year’s Eve in Japan.

The retired and undefeated American boxer is set for a shock return to combat sports with Japanese MMA promotion Rizin Fighting Federation, though the rules for the bout have not yet been announced.

“What in the f*** is going on here? Who’s this little p**** next to you? That’s mad s***. Like something out of rush hour 5 or something. Chris tucker and Jackie f****** Chan back in this b****,” McGregor wrote.

The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion lost a mega-money boxing bout against Mayweather in 2017, and had been clamouring for a rematch inside the octagon.
