All Blacks' win inspires Earl Bamber to extend his success this year in touring cars at the Macau Grand Prix
Kiwi driver hopes to bring his Le Mans success to the Guia circuit
Inspired by New Zealand winning a record third Rugby World Cup and buoyed by his own success, Earl Bamber will return to the Macau Grand Prix in unstoppable form.
As the reigning Le Mans champion, 25-year-old New Zealander Bamber seems to have the world at his feet and he continues his quest to be the best next weekend in the Macau GT Cup/FIA GT World Cup after a breakout season with Porsche.
"I can't wait," said Bamber, who with England's Nick Tandy and German Nico Hulkenberg broke Audi's five-year winning streak at the world's most famous endurance race in June.
"Macau is one of my favourite circuits in the world. The circuit's demands are very different compared to Le Mans. However, the grid is one of the strongest GT grids in the world.
"As a driver you always want to test yourself against the best drivers, teams and circuits. Macau provides this challenge." Porsche won their 17th Le Mans title, but their first since 1998. Hulkenberg and Bamber won in their rookie year at Le Mans with the German Formula One star getting special permission from Force India to start.
