ONE 167: Denis Puric set to cash in after Rodtang misses weight

There was drama at the ONE 167 weigh-ins as Rodtang Jitmuangnon missed weight by 6.25lbs.
The Thai fighter looked out of shape and could not come close to making the 135lbs limit for this flyweight kickboxing fight.
Rodtang was scheduled to face Denis Puric and the Thai fighter tipped the scales at 141.25lbs.
The fight co-headlines the ONE 167 card which takes place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on Saturday morning.
Puric, who unlike Rodtang looked in excellent shape, weighed in at 134.75lbs and agreed to go ahead with the fight. He will takes 25 per cent of the Thai fighter’s purse – a significant sum of money, because his opponent is one of the promotion’s top earners.
Last year it was revealed that Rodtang was earning 10 million baht (HK$2.1 million) per fight. His purse is likely to have gone up since then, meaning that the Thai fighter will hand at least 2.5 million baht to his opponent.
