Christian Lee will return to action in February for a ONE Championship title defence, CEO Chatri Sityodtong told the Post on Wednesday.

“The Warrior” has not fought since his 18-year-old sister and fellow ONE fighter Victoria Lee took her own life last December.

Lee’s older sister Angela Lee retired in September after vacating her atomweight MMA title in Singapore, having revealed her own 2017 suicide attempt. She is now running a non-profit charity, Fightstory, helping fighters deal with mental health issues.

But 25-year-old Christian Lee, who holds the Asia-based martial arts promotion’s lightweight and welterweight MMA titles, has no intentions of hanging up his gloves.

“I spoke to Christian a couple of weeks ago to see how he’s doing and he gave me the green light,” Chatri said. “He said, ‘I’m ready to go, Chatri, tell me when’. The team and I talked about it, so February is when Christian will come back.
