Fabricio Andrade had promised “one more surprise” for John Lineker at Friday’s ONE Fight Night 7 ceremonial weigh-ins, and he duly delivered.

The 25-year-old “Wonder Boy” (8-2, 1 No Contest) handed Lineker a steel cup when they faced off on stage at the 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok, drawing a smile from his fellow Brazilian.

Saturday’s Lumpinee Stadium rematch for ONE Championship’s bantamweight MMA title comes with plenty of spice, after October’s clash between the two men ended in a no contest – thanks to an inadvertent low blow by Andrade that shattered the cup worn by “Hands of Stone”.

“I just don’t want to have a problem again in the fight so I gave him my steel cup. In this case I’ll just break my knee, he won’t break his cup now,” Andrade told the Post.

Former UFC star Lineker, 32, had also been stripped of his title on the scale before that first fight in Kuala Lumpur, having failed to make weight.

The vacant belt will be on the line, with Andrade vowing to claim what he feels is rightfully his.

“Man, I feel great,” he added. “I feel really excited. I just can’t wait for tomorrow. I can’t wait to put on a show. I’m more than ready.”
