UFC president Dana White says sorry for slapping wife at New Year’s Eve party

UFC president Dana White apologised on Monday after he was caught on camera slapping his wife at a New Year’s Eve party in Mexico.

White, 53, and his wife, Anne, were at a resort in Cabo San Lucas for the holiday, TMZ reported.

Video showed White appearing to say something to his spouse, who then stood up and slapped him across the face. White immediately slapped her back, then slapped her a second time after she regained composure.

The two were separated by other partygoers.

“I’m literally making no excuses for this thing at all,” White told TMZ. “It’s never happened before. It’s the first time it’s ever happened. People are going to say what they’re going to say and it is what is. Whatever people say is deserved. I deserve it.”
