Not long after they beat each other black and blue in the Octagon, Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler linked up in hospital and posed for a classy, post-fight photograph.

Gaethje and Chandler, the UFC‘s No 2- and No 4-ranked lightweights respectively, collided in the UFC 268 main card opener on Saturday night inside New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden.

The two Americans traded heavy leather for three rounds, with Gaethje (22-3) ultimately leaving the cage as the winner by unanimous decision – but not before he and his team had posed for a picture with Chandler and his cornermen.

The fight was gruelling enough that both men needed to be carted to a local hospital, with neither coming in to speak to the media backstage.

They ended up crossing paths again at the hospital and didn’t waste the opportunity to snap another photo together, which Gaethje shared on his official Instagram account.

“All glory to God” the 32-year-old wrote in the caption for his post. “I wasn’t leaving tonight without my chance to to put another strap on [coach] Trevor Wittman’s wall.”
