McGregor (22-6) underwent a three-and-a-half hour surgery to fix his left tibia and fibula after breaking his leg in the final seconds of the first round of last Saturday’s UFC 264 main event against Dustin Poirier.

“I think they just released him right now from the hospital about 10, 15 minutes ago,” White told TMZ Sports. “He’ll be in [Los Angeles] for a little while. I don’t know if he’s gonna fly home, or what he’s gonna do.

Asked when the 33-year-old will be back fighting, White said: “He’ll be back in a year.”

McGregor had updated his fans on Tuesday with a video from his hospital bed after his surgery, saying he will be on crutches for six months.
