UFC president Dana White has told former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to call him if he is serious about a heavyweight match-up with new champion Francis Ngannou.

“Bones” Jones (26-1, one no contest), who relinquished his belt last summer over public disagreements with White regarding fighter pay, tweeted “show me the money” following “The Predator” Ngannou’s (16-3) impressive second-round TKO win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 on Saturday night.

White was clearly impressed with the Cameroonian’s performance and questioned whether Jones would really be willing to move up to heavyweight. Jones has been bulking up as he prepares for a debut in the 205 pound-plus weight class.

“If I’m Jon Jones and I’m home watching this fight, I start moving to ’85 [185 pounds],” White said jokingly in the post-fight press conference.

“Listen, I can sit here all day and tell you what ‘show me the money’ means. I tell you guys all the time, you can say you want to fight somebody, but do you really want to?”

Upon hearing Jones’ tweeted response in real time – “Go 185? I didn’t gain this weight for no reason” – White suggested they get initial talks under way, but also called Jones’ bluff by hinting Derrick Lewis (25-7, one no contest) could get the next shot.
