“Nigerian Nightmare” Usman (18-1), who is 13-0 in the UFC, passed former champion Georges St-Pierre for the most consecutive wins in the welterweight division, and said he would be open to a fight with the Canadian.
The 33-year-old Usman then mentioned Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal (35-14) in his post fight interview, stating he would put the American “in a coffin this time”. Cuban-American Masvidal holds the one-off “BMF” title.
The two previously fought at UFC 251 Fight Island in Abu Dhabi last July with Usman winning by unanimous decision. Usman was originally scheduled to fight Burns, but the Brazilian had to pull out after testing positive for Covid-19 in the lead-up to the fight.

“Game plan putting me in a ‘coffin’ hug and toe stomp, who is this guy fooling?” the 36-year-old Masvidal wrote on Twitter.
