UFC: Jorge Masvidal says he would fight Khabib ‘if they pay me what I’m worth’
- The ‘BMF’ belt holder Jorge Masvidal, who has not fought since November, says he would drop weight to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov
- Masvidal has been feuding with the UFC over fighters’ pay, which has become a contentious issue in the MMA world as of late
The “BMF” title holder Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal said he would consider fighting one of the sport’s most feared competitors – Khabib Nurmagomedov, who holds the UFC’s longest active win streak – and drop down from his regular weight class to do so.
The 35-year-old Masvidal had nothing but kind words and respect for the Russian champion.
“I respect Khabib as a competitor, he is a hell of a competitor, I like what he brings to the table. I like his attitude, he doesn’t get too caught up in trying to promote the fight via b*******. If he doesn’t like the guy, he doesn’t like the guy, and if he gets along with the guy he doesn’t force it trying to sell people on ‘I’m going to kill this guy because I hate him so much’ and do all that talking s*** which I very much like and I commend him for that.”
