“Gamebred” watched the Irishman’s 40-second destruction of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone up close from cageside at UFC 246 last weekend in Las Vegas, and said he picked up a few vital details.

“I always just like to be a fly on the wall when certain competitors are fighting,” Masvidal told Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show. “I showed up to the Nate [Diaz vs Anthony Pettis] fight just to watch as a fan. But also just in case we were to cross paths.

“In real time there are certain things I can see that I can also see on the camera but not the same.

“You know, from the [body] language when he walks into the cage, what he’s doing before, what he’s doing after, all these little things that I get to see, just like a fly on the wall. Movements, feints, how they’re breathing, everything. I got a clinical eye when it comes to that stuff and I could see a lot of things.
