Corey “Overtime” Anderson has said light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones is scared to fight him after the UFC’s pound-for-pound No 1 snubbed his calls for a title shot.

Anderson (13-4) broke into the division’s top five after a first-round knockout of rising star Johnny Walker at UFC 244 last weekend.

The 30-year-old joined Dominick Reyes (12-0) as a front-runner for Jones’ (25-1, one no contest) next title defence – but Jones soon turned him down.

“Just finished a coaches meeting studying Dominick and Cory’s [sic] careers. Established Dominick [is] definitely the more dangerous fighter. Beating his a** next,” he tweeted.

Anderson, who is on a four-fight win streak having beaten Walker, Ilir Latifi, Glover Teixeira and Patrick Cummins, snapped back at Jones on social media.

“Ha. Okay Bones. I wouldn’t wanna fight me either”, he tweeted, to which Jones replied: “Cory moves when I say move.”
