Glory 73 Shenzhen will be headlined by Marat Grigorian defending his lightweight world championship against Elvis “Super” Gashi in the main event.

The 28-year-old faces a huge task in beating Kosovo-born Gashi (23-0, 11 KOs), who is on the verge of history – no fighter has ever become a Glory champion with an undefeated record.

“He’s undefeated, but I’m the best in the world,” Grigorian said. “He’s never faced anyone on my level before and when we get in the ring in China he’s going to feel the difference and he’s going to learn the hard way why I’m the champion.”

The Armenian-Belgian Grigorian (professional record 62-11-1, with 35 wins by KO) is making his second defence of the lightweight title he won from Sitthichai at Glory 65 earlier this year.
