Petchtanong was the first champion to fall foul of ONE Championship’s drug testing protocols when he was handed a one-year ban and stripped of his belt after testing positive for both metenolone and boldenone.

Ramazanov, meanwhile, is also returning from a six-month suspension after he entered the ring and confronted Jonathan Haggerty who had just won the bantamweight kickboxing title at ONE Fight Night 16.

The winner of their showdown at Lumpinee Stadium could be in pole position for a shot at the bantamweight kickboxing belt.

However, China’s Wei Rui and Hiroki Akimoto are also in the mix with Haggerty unlikely to defend the belt again until next year because of Muay Thai commitments.

ONE Fight Night 23 will also see Hiroba Minowa (13-5) face Jeremy Miado (10-7) in a strawweight fight. Both men are coming off three straight losses and looking to get their careers back on track in Bangkok.
