Superbon Singha Mawynn has called for a rematch with Tawanchai PKSaenchaigym after his brutal knockout over Jo Nattawut at ONE Friday Fights 81.
Tawanchai is scheduled to defend his featherweight Muay Thai title belt against Nattawut at ONE 169 next month.
But Superbon has thrown a spanner in the works with his first-round victory over Nattawut.
The 34-year-old previously suffered a narrow defeat when he faced Tawanchai at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December and now has revenge on his mind.
“I want to have my rematch with Tawanchai,” Superbon said. “That [win] means I step closer to the belt.

“For me right now, my goal is the belt, so I’m going to go there.”
Since his defeat to Tawanchai, Superbon has won two from two and was ranked as the No 1 contender in the division before his victory over No 3 contender Nattawut.
Nattawut has been booked to face Tawanchai on November 3 in Atlanta, for their third meeting in the past 13 months.
Tawanchai has won both previous meetings but the scoring was controversial. At ONE 167 in June, many fans believed Atlanta resident Nattawut had won and so he was handed a third opportunity to face the champion.
But with not long to go until ONE 169 there has to be a question mark over Nattawut following his brutal defeat to Superbon. While he did not lose consciousness, he was stunned by two elbows, the second of which connected cleanly with his jaw and left the veteran unable to beat the count.
Superbon had already cut Nattawut with one elbow and said this was all part of the strategy.
“Because Jo has good boxing [skills], I used the elbow to stop the boxing,” he said. “It was the game plan.
“The first time he throws the right hand so I threw the left elbow and he got cut. The second time he threw the left hand so I threw the right elbow and he went down.”
With the fight lasting less than two minutes, Superbon took no serious damage and would probably be ready to fight again in November. The same cannot be said, however, of Nattawut.
Superbon did not give any indication of how likely replacing Nattawut on the ONE 169 card would be, but said he was adamant about seeking a rematch with Tawanchai as he felt he would fare better than in their previous encounter.
“Last time, I think I wasn’t 100 per cent before the fight,” Superbon said. “I feel like I need to work harder than the last time that I fought him.
“I need to go back to the gym, work and plan and get ready to fight him and I need to be the winner.”
Meanwhile, following the enforced absence of regular champion Chingiz Allazov, Superbon is the interim featherweight kickboxing champion and will be looking to defend his title soon.
