A decade ago, Panpayak was considered the best pound-for-pound Muay Thai fighter on the planet but he has not fought since his split-decision loss to Superlek in 2022.

Superlek has beaten eight fighters since Panpayak last fought – including Takeru Segawa, Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Jonathan Haggerty – picking up kickboxing and Muay Thai titles.

But ahead of Panpayak’s comeback fight against Silviu Vitez at ONE Friday Fights 83, the Thai fighter has one eye on revenge.

“I am the only one who can stop Superlek, just give me time,” Panpayak said.

Superlek has come out on top in both of their ONE Championship fights so far, though the last one was much tighter and Panpayak said a third fight would set the record straight.
