Alcaraz ATP doubts, top F1 boss quits, club faces illegal betting probe over influencer move
Top-flight Argentina club Deportivo Riestra fielded a YouTuber in a real game, while Jake Paul’s ‘fight’ with Mike Tyson is days away

Did you hear the one about the influencer who played as a striker in Argentina’s top flight? There’s no punchline by the way, even if it is a joke.
Deportivo Riestra fielded Ivan Buhajeruk, a YouTuber known as Spreen with more than 7 million followers, for the first 50 seconds of their 1-1 draw with leaders Velez Sarsfield, and it went as well as you might expect.
The Argentina FA are investigating potential links to illegal sports betting, players called the move “disrespectful”, and the Buenos Aires club have apologised to “those who felt offended” by their decision to send on a 24-year-old with no professional football experience, who they apparently gave a contract to in February.
And so onto another joke without a punchline. Mike Tyson’s “fight” with Jake Paul. That takes place this weekend in the United States, and safe to say there is nothing sweet, or scientific, about an event which can politely be called dumb.
Netflix will live-stream the occasion, which will take place at the home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas, proving once again, that everything, including the utterly ridiculous, is bigger in that southern state.

Let’s start with the obvious, it’s not sport. A washed up 58-year-old and 27-year-old wannabe dancing around a ring is WWE in another form. At this stage you might as well drag Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart out of retirement.
