Haughey will now head into the final leg in Singapore next week chasing clean-sweep crowns in both the 100m and 200m freestyle.

In the 100m freestyle, Haughey hit the wall in 51.73 seconds, followed by Poland’s Katarzyna Wasick in 52.19, with Australian Milla Jansen third in 52.26.

“[The 100m freestyle] is always a fun event, and it’s very competitive, especially not knowing your time and not knowing how you did, but hopefully it’ll be a good one next week as well,” Haughey said.
