The trailblazer was the first Hong Kong runner to race on South Korean soil and he flew the Bauhinia flag in style with a scintillating performance.

In the lead-up to the race there were concerns over Super Jockey’s ability to handle the tricky Seoul sand, but they proved unfounded.

Jockey Karis Teetan settled him in second, before pushing the button at the top of the straight and leaving his rivals in their wake, justifying his status as favourite on the Hong Kong tote.

It’s a feather in the cap of trainer Tony Millard, who collects a major international sprint after Super Jockey finished second in the 2015 Group One Golden Shaheen in Dubai to American speedster Secret Circle.
