With the government not approving the use of the 40,000-seat Hong Kong Stadium for the match - it will instead be staged at Mong Kok Stadium -  slightly over 3,000 tickets at HK$150 each will be available through www.cityline.com at 10am on that day.

Each purchase will be limited to two tickets with the use of credit cards for payment.

About 1,000 concessionary tickets at HK$50 each for senior citizens or students will also be available at the same date at 10am, but they must be purchased at the Mong Kok Stadium box office.

Fans will need to prove their Hong Kong identity when getting their tickets, and show their HKID to collect their tickets and when entering the stadium.

Another 500 tickets will be set aside for China fans and will be handled by the Chinese Football Association.

Tickets purchased online will need to be redeemed at Mong Kok Stadium between November 9-15.

The HKFA also warned fans to be prepared for "extensive bag searches" as they try to keep security tight for the powderkeg game.

“Tickets are very limited and we want to make sure they all get into the hands of the home fans and not other people,” said Hong Kong Football Association vice chairman Pui Kwan-kay.
