It's a family affair as Hong Kong brother and sister Leo and Annie Au win gold and silver at Asian Squash Championships
Leo stuns home favourite in men's final but Annie can't match indomitable Nicol David win women's
It was a terrific day for the Au family at the Asian Squash Championships in Kuwait on Tuesday as Leo Au Chun-ming upset the form book to win the men's title and older sister Annie bag silver in the women's final.
Fourth seed Leo stunned the partisan home crowd by outplaying home hero and Incheon Asian Games gold medallist Abdullah al-Mezayen in three games (11-7, 11-9, 13-11).
“I don’t know what to say,” said Au, 25. “I am so happy. I didn’t imagine I could win this tournament.
Big sis Annie Wing-chi, 26, relinquished the title she won in 2013 to world number one Nicol David, but there was no shame in that as the Malaysian has been virtually invincible for the best part of a decade - this was her ninth Asian women's championship title.
