Ex-Serie A side Piacenza sack 2 managers in a day, with 1 fired after sole training session
The former top-flight now in the fourth tier eventually settled on the man they had initially fired just over a month ago
Former Serie A side Piacenza hired three managers and sacked two in a single day earlier this week.
The now-fourth-tier side eventually settled on the man they had initially fired little more than a month ago.
Piacenza, who in their Serie A days boasted the likes of current Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi in their ranks, announced on Tuesday morning that manager Carmine Parlato had been fired, and they had hired Simone Bentivoglio in his place.
However, after just a single training session, the club had a change of heart and Bentivoglio was promptly dismissed.
In his place, the club rehired Stefano Rossini, who had been let go on October 7 and replaced by Parlato. Piacenza also announced Carlo Maria Zerminiani as their new sporting director.
Piacenza were last in Serie A in the 2002-03 season, when current Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was on loan from Juventus, but were top-flight regulars throughout the 1990s and even had the league’s top goal scorer, Dario Hubner, in 2001-02.
